Callum Abberely made his first start to a cross country season for two years, finishing in a respectable 16th position in the first British Athletics Cross Challenge. His goal was to stay with the lead group for the first half of the race, instead led the race for five minutes before gradually slipping back. The idea was to get used to front running, something he does in his vast majority of races. As we progress through the long months with the cross challenge, Callum will take more ground off the leaders and hopefully push for a top ten position in the final event of the season.
