Dan Robinson recorded an exceptional personal best over the 5000m recently at the University of Birmingham Track & Field series. His time of 16:44 elevated him to 6th in the British V-50 ranking category which is a truly remarkable feat. Dan’s faultless 80-81 second laps, along with a blistering 39-second last 200m knocked 18-seconds off his previous personal best set at the very same event last year. He is now looking ahead to further improve this incredible time at the next University of Birmingham event.

He has been working very hard over the last 12-months strengthening up his core, pelvic stabilisers and muscles of the leg. In addition, he has been put through the paces with a progressive, but tough circuit training programme. His latest adaptation is an extended speed endurance block to increase strike rate. I have no doubt there is more to come from young Dan! Keep up the great work.
